I know now that being overweight has much more to do with what goes on in my mind than what I eat or how much I exercise. I believe weight loss, body image and mindset are linked much more than many of the “diet gurus” would lead you to believe. Sure, you can go on a 1200 calorie diet and lose a lot of weight, but if you keep up the negative self-talk, the weight will just creep right back on. And you’ll feel worse than when you started. I’m at a much better place in my life about my body than I’ve ever been, but I would still like to lose a few pounds. I won’t do it by dieting though. I know the truth…diets just don’t work. Steve would like to lose a few pounds too, although I don’t think his weight issues are as deeply rooted as mine. Although, who knows…I certainly don’t know everything that goes on in his mind :) We’ll keep doing videos about weight loss and mindset and see where it takes us
